On Sunday we headed towards Freycinet National Park. We managed to get a free camp which we haven't had too many of as yet they all seem to be full when we get there. Freycinet National Park is the most beautiful place here as yet. The coast is gorgeous and the sand is white and soft. On Monday we walked up to the Wineglas Bay Lookout. Lots of steps up and very steep slopes but what a view from the top. We then walked down to Wineglass Bay and again lots of stone steps - I wasn't looking forward to going back up but didn't have a choice!! It was amazing and really worth the effort.
We are getting really fit with all these steps! The day before (Sunday) we had a long walk in Douglas Apsly National Park. We had to walk up the mountain and then down the other side ino the gorge - again a beautiful gorge and worth the effort. Then of caurse we had to return!! The national parks here are so well kept and the paths are in perfect upkeep. Most are gravel paths with lots of big boulders along the edges. Tasmania has the best walking tracks we have ever seen- so well maintained.

Love to all
