Monday 4 January
We are up and packed before 7am. It's a short trip to the airport. We stand in line for check in. A lady approaches us to take some of her luggage. She has too much and they won't let her check it in! She seems legit and we are allowed to check in some luggage, but we decide to only bring carry on. We have to decline her. You never know. You see signs at airports saying to never carry stuff for ppl you don't know. First time for everything. We eat a little breakfast and then go through immigration and security. I keep my eyes open for my favourite chocolate and sunscreen. I don't find what I'm looking for. The plane is pretty basic, but the seats feel wide and there is vegetarian options! We are delayed in leaving, but turns out it doesn't affect our connecting flight. The second flight is barely 40min and just a tiny plane, but we get delightful thick juice and cashews. The view from the window is impressive. We have no issues with our visa. Hannah is waiting for us and soon we are off towards home. We have to stop in Arusha for a few things, and some pizza for dinner. It's slow going at times but we arrive safe and sound. We enjoy dinner and settle in. Lori is already in bed.
