Somehow managed to drag myself out of bed at 9.30am. Sophie was still asleep as she got home after me, around 4.30am.
Just as I was getting ready Becky sent me a message to meet her and Lissy at the strip for breaky when we were ready as they had already left. I woke Sophie and we were dressed and out the door in a record 5 mins.. hehe.
We had breaky in the Mirage hotel... the most delicious omelete! Yum!
Then we wandered the strip for most of the morning. We stopped at New York New York so Sophie and Lissy could go on the massive roller coaster, which apparently rates 2nd on the most thrilling things to do in Vegas, whereas Skydiving comes in 4th. So no way I was going on that roller coaster!
We checked out lots of shops, the M&M store, the Khardasian shop, souvineers of course. It was soooo hot. It felt like 40 degrees! Yuk. So we took every opportunity to go inside to malls and shops to get a zap of A/C.
I texted JD around 3ish to ask about the Rodeo and he was in a movie and said we can go later as it goes until 9pm.
The boys were planning to go on another limo ride tonight that takes you to 3 of the top clubs including alcohol etc, but Lissy and I decided not to go since we've had our Vegas limo experience. Lissy really wanted to see a show in Vegas, and in checking out what was on we found David Copperfield is in town! So we decided we would go to the 9.30pm show and we bought tickets. OMG... a live show in Vegas, we were so excited after we bought them.
We headed back to the hotel around 4pm as we weren't sure what was happening.
We met around the pool at 6ish to make plans for the evening. We decided to go to Hooters for dinner which was great.
At 8.45pm Lissy and I left the group to go to David Copperfield.
I just have to say - I BELIEVE IN MAGIC!!!
The things I witnessed with my very eyes... well... there's no words for it. I was flabbergasted...in fact I still am. He was amazing and funny too. Lissy and I bought cocktails in souvineer glasses.
The show finished at 11.30pm. We rang the others to see where they were at and they were "pre-gaming" (drinking) at the hotel and planned to head to town around midnight. Lissy and I went to watch the Bellagio Fountain again at midnight then Lissy caught a taxi home and I waited for Sophie to arrive, as by that time she was the only one keen to come out. We wandered around and people watched as she's only 18 and couldn't get into places. I didn't mind - at least we were out on the town soaking in the atmosphere and we had fun. We headed home about 1.30am and JD phoned us to check in on us which was nice. We knew he was still awake so when we got back to the hotel we called in to his room to tell him about our night and ended up chatting and watching tv with him until 3am. He had a long nap all afternoon so he wasn't tired.
A great night in Vegas!
Later,
Tracey.
