Day 48 Day at Sea (River Actually)
Today was spent cruising down the St Lawrence River and then out into the Gulf of St Lawrence.
Vince attended a Digital workshop in regard to making the most of your digital camera. Margaret went to the Culinary Arts centre where one of the onboard chefs demonstrated the making of New England Clam Chowder.
Whilst roaming the ship we came across a room with women from a San Diego Quilting group. Apparently Quilting Cruises are a common past time in the USA. They had brought their sewing machines as their carryon luggage and the ship provides them with a room that they have access to 24/7. They can sew when they want and go ashore to explore when wish. They were a very friendly group of ladies and we chatted with them for about 15 minutes.
After Lunch we went to a presentation by Jeremy (from Tassie) who is the location guide on board. He gave information and pointers on the next 3 ports of call - Charlottetown, Sydney and Halifax.
Late afternoon Vince went to the movies to see Independence Day-Resurgence. Margaret went up to the gym where she met/chatted up 2 chaps from Brisbane.
Dinner tonight was the first of the formal nights. This was followed by the dances and singers show, Atlantic Crossing. As this was the title of one of the shows on our previous cruise we were expecting to see a repeat. We were pleasantly to find a different show still with the theme of music from Britain from the Beatles to Coldplay.
After a no-so exerting day we headed back to our cabin to refresh for the next day in Charlottetown.
