Vegas Baby! Well we have made it half way across the USA. After a long day yesterday, we were on our way at 900 oclock this morning. Our day started with the revealing of the Rotary hats from Ray Grenier from GP Promotions. Thanks for the hats Ray. Got our traditional group picture in Beaver with our new hats. Then it was on the road again. Passed through St George and then down the Virgin River Canyon. The Canyon is one of the highlights of the trip. Since it was under construction, it meant that we were going very slow, which is great news if you want to see the Canyon! One stop for fuel and snacks and then to the Gold Coast Hotel in Vegas for our $26.00 rooms- they are great. Then it was varied- one group went to the Strip and went to Margariettaville for lunch and refreshments. Then we took Tracey and Viv hunting (Traceys code word for shopping), they both came away with various bags. We toured through the Venetian and the Palazzo before shuttling back to the Gold Coast. So a bit of touring on the strip done, we all met at the Rio for the Seafood Buffet. Then some went off to Freemont, some went back to the hotel, some did some time in the Casinos. Everybody will have their own story. Tomorrow will be Lake Havasu City. We are scheduled for a 1200 departure.
