Good Morning to all from the Rotary road crew. We awakened to a beautiful morning in Vegas all happy we had a chance to sleep in. A few of us had lighter pockets whether from the slot machines or just plain shopping. After everyone had breakfast and a last chance at Lady Luck we meet in the parking lot at the Gold Coast for a head count and meeting. Tracy and Vivian had a few presentations to make to our fellow Rotarians Harm and Allen and let's just say at Star bucks it's not just plain coffee anymore.
With our 1200 departure on schedule our convoy rolled out of Las Vegas with all personal accounted for. Still traveling on Interstate 15 headed east we notices we where missing vehicle #6 as he was headed WEST. After a slight recalculation Harm and Percy met back up with the group just outside of the city. I was a great day traveling on route to Lake Havasu seeing the solar power farms and the many dust funnels in the dessert. Finally arriving in Lake Havasue City we were met at the hotel by long time friends of the Grande Prairie Club Dave and Elizabeth. I need to tell Vic that Elizabeth says HI as she was expecting him on the trip. It was such a treat to go to there lovely home, watch the sunset over Lake Havasue and have a home cooked meal. At 10:00pm Jefe rounded up the crew and we headed back to the hotel for what we thought would be a restful sleep, but with it being spring break in Lake Havasue City some of us did not get that much needed sleep until hotel security shut down the numerous teenage parties.
