OVERLAND THROUGH AFRICA

We are about to embark on our long awaited trip of a lifetime 'overlanding' from Hale, Cheshire to Cape Town in South Africa. Our transport will be our Nissan Navara 4x4 pick-up which we have had specially converted to endure the rigours of the journey. The pick-up will be carrying a lightweight pop-up, demountable camper made for us in America which will be our home whilst we are away.

We will be travelling through Europe to the Middle East, into Egypt and then down through Africa visiting Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania,

Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and into South Africa to our final destination of Cape Town. The whole journey will take us about nine months.

We hope to see some fascinating places, meet interesting people, see plenty of wildlife and observe many different cultures and return poorer in pocket but richer in experience.

We hope you will follow our tracks on this website and keep up to date with where we are from our blogs and pictures. We will be keen to read your comments and messages of inspiration on the message board.
