From Coral Bay we had quite a long drive to Monkey Mia, but we are used to that by now. We didn't quite go straight to Monkey Mia because we stayed at a caravan park in Denham. We got into Denham quite late in the afternoon. We set up the caravan had a look around and then found a pub to have dinner at.
The next morning we drove out to Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort to have a look at the dolphins coming into shore to get a treat. They were just as curious to look at us as we were of them. There was also a Pelican visiting the beach, probably hoping to score some fish. We walked around the resort a little and spent some time at the beach.
From Monkey Mia we drove to Shell Beach which is made up of millions of tiny shells up to 10 meters deep and stretching for over 70 kilometers. There is no sand, only shells!
We had to take turns going down to the beach because Max and Elise were sleeping in the car. We had to have fly nets covering out heads because there were also millions of flies!
Before heading back to Denham we made another stop at Eagle Bluff. We walked out along the boardwalk and enjoyed the views of the bay. We didn't get to see any eagles or dugongs unfortunately. But there were plenty of flies!!!!!
