Tony and Sharon~ Boat is in Lagos. Had mechanical problems on way to Madiera. We are flying there tomorrow, D'Elle and I will return sometime after the 25th. Have left keys to boat and boat slip info at marina office in case you arrive before our return. Boat will need to stay here for a year so return at your convenience. Hope you're having a great time. We are following you on the maps as you let us know where you are. This is SO much fun. Not much new with us at all which is sort of a nice change. Jerry, Marta and the grandkids should be here the last week of August so we are looking forward to that. We sure miss you but are so thrilled you are having this adventure. Love M&N

Well we have had a smashing time in England. I've seen the inside and the outside of the race horses. I got to sit on my great love Happy (the retired race horse belonging to Sorrel and Glyn) That was a rush!!! Today we leave for Prauge and maybe a few sights in Germany and Swiss Alpes. We'll be back to the boat in Lagos on the 28th. Haven't heard anything from Nick and D'Elle. We suppose they are on the way to Madiera with Larry and Maria. Hope to talk to a few friends in the states by phone soon. Tammy, we will be in touch as soon as we are sure where we will be. We are excited that you are coming to Europe. Can't wait. Love to all. I'll try to post some photos now.

Tony and Sharon, we have been contemplating coming to visit, but we need some details, I was thinking of Sept 4th - the 18th but don't know if that is too long or not a good time. Also, Tony said to fly into London and then catch another flight from there. We just need to figure it all out. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling.
That is such a trip with seeing the Navy ships I am sure Jared was on one of them because he told us that according to the GPS system it looked as though you guys were in the same area, he said he looked but didn't see ya. That is soo cool what are the odds of that. Jared has been flown home so that he can be home for the birth of his son and also because his Mother in law is saying she would like to be taken off life support after Tiernan is born, very sad. He is soo excited to be able to see him come into this world. Bekah is doing really well with little Brooklyn, she looks just like her brother but with more delicate features, she's so cute, Madix just had his 2nd Birthday, we all went to Disneyland it was a lot of fun. He is so much fun. Well I better go, I have lots to do. Love you guys, take care and be safe. Love, your little sister, T

We are in Jolly Ole England. We've been visiting friends and having a great time. Thanks, D'elle for the mail. It made it and we will make it right with you when we see you in Lagos. It's good to hear from all of you. We have tried calling the States several times, but can't seem to connect with anyone at home. Happy 4th. We were with Mike and Pip and Mike produced the stars and stripes for the occasion. Tomorrow we will go back to Sorrel and Glyn's in Hinckley (where they are flying the US flag too) and then to Prauge on the the 11th. I'm running out of time on the library computer so will sigh off for now. Love to all. Catchya later.

Nick,
I am so loving following your dream! De'lle I agree with you just meet in the ports and don't worry, I heard they sell clothes in other parts of the world even purple and turquiose. Just think of all the room you will have for treasures when you unload all of Nick's stuff including his shoes. I heard there are UPS stores for any over flow. In fact, they work I've used them. We will be going to Italy again next spring but won't even get to Capri this time. The sea is best. But then there is the Alps on the train in the snow on Christmas Day. You are making such wonderful memories. Sharon is so great at describing everything. I can't wait until you get to Greece. Jim, says there are stark contrasts and that makes it beautiful in a dramatic way.
We almost have the house remodeled. Nothing like scrambling through the patio and garage for things. I seem to remember someone remodeling an old house who lived out in the guest house for a few years amd just kinda eased into it. Well, the goal was to take our patio back by the 4th of July to declare out independance from all the craftsmen. We did get the patio back but have had "issues" with the floor and bathroom tile yet to be resolved.
I must say I am enjoying the news from the rest of the family. I can see you and Bob doing your dance on the deck when you meet. I can imagine Ma and Pa looking down watching you as you take on each little challenge and adventure.
My best to all of you. Leasa
P.S. De'lle If your trip getting there doesn't follow the schedule as long as you have your credit and bank card you will survive and remember there is a reason for everything even the speed bumps in life.

Just wanted to let you know...I'm sitting here looking down at the FREAKS from apt 806 moving out. He He He! I looks as if there is some dissent among them because they arrived at different times, with different groups of helpers. It also seems that they chose the most intimidating guys to help them (tatoos , shavedheads etc.) Back to the ghetto with ya's.
D'elle
Jeesz! I sound absolutely nuts.
am I the last to know?
D'elle
I feel a bit anxious at the moment. Just got the computer back online in time to get all Nick's messages about who to contact and what to get and pack and bring and OH MY GAWD! The new sail will be packaged as luggage and ready to check in the day before we take off. The wind vane parts are on the way and the new microphones and autopilot gear are all coming here for me to pack and take with! NO ROOM for anything else. Books on Portugal, phrase books, dictionaries, CD's extra maps, guide books and a few 'vacation reads' are on the 'must have' list... I've got a huge bag packed already with just the stuff I was taking that I knew Nick needed after my last visit (i.e. additional t-shirts, shorts, another really trick pair of boat shoes ~ but I forgot that shoes for Nick will take up an entire suitcase all by themselves!) I'm still trying to pare down my travel gear to a somewhat manageable size. I have several pairs of CROCS and am reluctant to part with any of them since they are all so boat friendly. My quandry at the moment is my color pallette...do I stick to red, white and navy or to turqoise, plum and white or just black and white with a touch of hot pink????? These are the burning issues stealing my sleep and churning my anxiety! Add to this the dismal realization of the fact that I can only take, like, three pair of shorts and 6 t-shirts with maybe one skirt for dress, now this is major deprivation! Those of you who know me will be absolutely falling over laughing, thinking of me trying to pack this way! My clothing pallette in Bermuda was purple and turquoise and I actually took a picture of my open closet because the color combination was so pretty so it's not hard to imagine that I CANNOT just throw a few things in a bag! They have to look good stacked together and coordinate with the luggage....(now I'm kidding, but just barely). I think I have all the information I was supposed to gather and all the gear that was supposed to be included and some of the necessaries for comfort so I'm sure everything will be just fine. If I only had my own plane....
TONY & SHARON: the intnl priority pkg you told me about was not able to be sent to that particular address so it's coming FED EX. After I sent it I got another piece of mail from Sherri but I'm afraid it's going to be coming with me and will be awaiting you upon your return to the boat. I could practically fly to London for what Fed ex charges and we had to get creative with the postal code since the last group of numbers/letters were not recognizable to the shippers. It should be at the destination you specified by next week. I hope so anyway. I'll look forward to seeing you soon!

Dad (Nick), Just wanted to let you know that I am down to 266lbs. I have lost a total of 143lbs. Just wanted to post and let you know. Polly
