Hey there, what a brilliant idea. Now I can do the trip of a life time in comfortable conditions.
Enjoy as I am sure you are.

Hello there you great adventurers. Talk about being pikers...whats wrong with you not wanting to camp at minus 8? Great to read what you are doing and look at the photos.
We enjoyed our camping trip through central QLD...NOT minus 8!!
This time 5 weeks we will be in Rome.Seems like everyone is heading off...there won't be anyone here to do the work..oh well, not to worry.
Happy belated birthday Carol.

Hi there intrepid travellers, we have finally read your blog with tremendous interest and enjoyed looking at your photos. We often think about you and realise how easy it is to see what you are doing! I had a marvellous time in Italy and Chris had a lonely and sad time in Tamworth (hee hee). Haven't caught up with Paul & Sue yet but will do so when the weather gets a bit warmer so we can have a big family barbeque. Tell them if they need anything please don't hesitate to contact us. We were surprised at all the snow and are glad you are enjoying your Amarula (spelling?)!! When we were in South Africa we took a liking to it too. Love and best wishes Pippa & Chris

Hi Carol
Enjoyed reading about your adventure. It all sounds great. Terry couldn't find his passport last Thursday so he has had a few stressful days. He went to Newcastle yesterday and had a new passport by 10.30 so all systems go. We leave on Sunday. I am looking forward to the trip. Will try to follow your trip while I am away.

Hello from 'the desk'. Miss you. Vicki has meved in at Moree. It's getting quiet here. Thought you may like to know all is well in the plant department. We have named the vine 'Carol' and she has new shoots and taken root. Ducks have had a rough day, but seem to be handling your absence well. We all reassure them often.Am keeping a photographic record for you. Still no baby news, but I have bags packed and the car fueled up in readiness.

Glad to see you are finally under way - the adventure begins!
A tip that I thought I'd pass on: be sure you have reflective tape on your bumper bars before you enter Zambia, a short strip of white at the front on each side and ditto red on the rear. Although supposedly only commercial vehicles need it by law, we were stopped for a few hours by a roadblock with many policemen demanding a fine for its absence. If they try it on, demand to see the printed rules of the road - and in the original book, not a dodgy photocopy! We got away unscathed but bought some tape in the next town!
Oh and be sure that all your lights are always working - another scam to charge you a fine! That one's a fav in Tanzania.
We managed to NOT pay any "fines" along the whole trip - good luck for the same outcome!

Hello you 2!!
I'm pleased and relieved that you finally have your car. You should be on your way by now. I've done the handover at MEPS and have the key to my new home - which is just gorgeous and only two blocks from James. I think of you both often and look forward to your next entry.

Getting close. Travel safely down and take lots of notes for us back here. My grand bump was well, and round. Getting very exciting now.
