The leaning tower of Pisa was no where I though it would be. It took a 5 hour train ride from Milan to Pisa ,but here I enjoyed a nice nap. I like naps. When we arrived in Pisa it was raining and just like in London people tried to sell us umbrellas and ponchos. Before my mum gave into their persuading we ate breakfast at this nice little sandwich shop, we left the hotel at 5am so I was starving. Due to the men harassing us to buy an umbrella both my mum and brother bought one. I stood strong and used my mums broken umbrella. After finding a map we set of to find the leaning tower of Pisa. I thought it would have been easy to spot and to get there but I was proven wrong. We had to walk a while and a bridge but I guess it was worth it. Did you know that the leaning tower of Pisa doesn't stand alone but has a cathedral next to it? I didn't. From afar the tower didn't look all that leaning but as we walked closer I could see it. Like stereotypical tourist we posed with the tower pretending to lean it back in place and leaning on it ourselves. I even managed to bruse my leg trying to stand on a podium. While we were doing this a man stood next to us thinking of a pose to do. After a while of thinking he decided on squatting which made me laugh as, well he was trying to poop out the leaning tower of Pisa. Theoretically of chores. Apart from this we visited the near by cathedral and I even watched a documentary on how the leaning tower of Pisa became the leaning tower of Pisa. As it was in Italian I hadn't a clue what it was on about but I understood that they were trying to prevent it from leaning over to much that it would topple over. After watching this we went back outside and the sun had come to greet us. Due to this we decided to re-take a few photos. Once this was complete we wonder a little more and made our way back to the train station where we enjoyed another 5 hour journey back to Milan. Before we got on our train and almost missed it,as no one was listening to me that that was our train, we ate McDonald. I doodled for the first hour and then fell asleep for the rest only to be woken up by an Italian ticket inspector yelling at me. I don't know what he was yelling but I think it went along the lines of "get up, where here..." as we were at the last stop.
