As requested: the job it is Curator of Archaeology for the South East region of English Heritage, which is a little scary as I am neither a curator or an archaeologist but they want someone with a medieval specialism at a postgraduate level so I win there. It is a three year post that is intended to be a development post so by the end I will be running projects by myself. I will be doing documentation of objects but also a lot of research and working with interpretation and learning staff to make the research accassible to the public. It also involves thinking about sustainability, doing tours, and probably working on publications. So in spite of the job title it is a bit like they wrote the job description with my CV in mind. I very much look forward to it.

Just so you don't feel alone travelling I have also been over the sea to new worlds. The Isle of Wight in autumn is a beauty to behold! I went on the chair lift at the Needles, collected sand from Allum Bay, watched a yacht race at Gurnard & ate plenty. You are not alone. Left Rog & the dog at home, had a few nights away with the girls

Watching a documentary about Patagonia. I can see why you want to go there. It is fantastic. Hope that part of your plans comes off.

Beautiful pictures but as you know I remember my holiday s by the food I have eaten so could you include some of the exotic meals you have enjoyed. The pictures that include the sun bring back happy memories of what the weather used to be like here.
