Qoqek, China
Hello humans (I'll assume for now..)
So those of you who know me know that I'm very lazy. So after deciding to create this blog I had the ingenious idea to copy quotes out from my diary for each month (all spelling mistakes are therefore 2000% my own...) Some quotes may not make sense without context but hopefully they'll make just enough sense for you to carry on reading about my time in the glorious Xinjiang...It's been interesting so far...
1st September
'our house is...suprising...'
2nd september
'The toilet's super clogged so looks like one of us is going to get dirty ..(me)'
'I'm exited but also scarred I am a real teacher in a real school...yup'
4th September
'We have a mouse! I call him Jimbob and he lives in the walls'
8th September
'Holy f***.
So we're hopefully on our way back to Shawan on a VERY dodgy looking bus...'
9th September
'BASICALLY that was the most stressful bus ride ever.
the dodgy bus was dodgy ...because the bus doesnt actually travel to Shawan...'
'we got dropped off at a police station where, ofcorse, the only english speaking man was the one holding a huge gun. we where then whisked away in a police car to yet another police station to then be escorted home'
14th September
He thought we where Russian (we had recently found out that there had been an arrival of Russian prostitutes so...definitely a compliment..maybe?)
21st September
'Left england om the 20th August got into China on the 21st. It's been a full month in China and I can't believe it's gone so quick.'
'We taught the them the macarena and some scottish dancing ..They seemed impressed with the UK that's nice..'
'Yesterday we went to 'thinking rock' (be warned- reading this blog you will find many 'Thinking rock's','Thinking hill's','Bread men' and 'sausage ladies'). I was pursuaded by a ninety year old man in a very fetching ensamble to dance with him and it was the best fun I've had in a while.'
24th September
'had a full day of lessons today. not as horrific as it could've been. Still not <3'ing the year two's ....'
25th Spetember
'-after lunch-
A teacher just broke a plastic chair she was sitting on and I've never needed to laugh so hard . best thing ever it could be me at any second this is the hunger games of teachers'
30th September
-Pointing to a card stuck in my diary- ' The card of the hotel we got kicked out of at the end of an amazing night'
'So flashback to Sep 28th..me and Laura where in a nice pub/bar/club (depending on what lightswitch you used) learning how not to be terrible at the card game..failig myserably)'
'Bruce Lee exclaims that he wants to go to KTV...'
'I was left to play Adel and laura speeds off on a motor bike..'
'We ended up breaking KTVwhen attempting to put on Bon Jovi'
'After attempting to climb the walls/into toilet windows we decided to call the boys..where soon speeding through the night ..where we slept amazingly for less than three hours then made our way back to lessons'.
(If you'd like to learn more about this KTV adventure my friend reece has created a blog post with a bit more depth http://www.offexploring.com/reece/blog/china/fukang/2014-10-14%2018:50:54 )

Conor I am in the process of planning a RTW trip and every now and again you find random cities/towns/parks etc. that almost nobody in the western world has heard of, let alone written about. For Qoqek, this is it, there isn't even a wikipedia page. This blog didn't give me much, but it was a fun read and your enthusiasm helps sell the area. Thanks for writing it! The broken chair thing is hilarious
