SokCho to Gyeongju
So off we go down the coast, this is the first real experience of riding in Korea road markings are quite different with a habit of putting solid white lines across the road even though you have right of way - well at least I think so, famous last words. The roads are good smooth tarmac which would be a blast if it wasn't for the fact that the derestricted speed limit is 80kph and it's backed up by speed cameras every few miles, they are forward facing so they can't read our plates but my guess is if you took the mick they'd be out in force. The infrastructure round here is unbelievable, everything is clean, you can certainly tell they are one of the Asian Tigers they've easily passed us in terms of living standards and quality of life, even the peasants are well dressed. I guess $30 billion dollars a year surplus balance of payments pays for a lot of infrastructure. Arrive at the golf hotel with no incidents but certainly hot and sweaty must be in the high 30s with 99% humidity. Hotel's pretty good but as usual the prices are significant $6 for a cup of coffee, I discover the first G&Ts since we started and they are only $8 that'll be that then.
