The town of Kusadasi from the Queen Elizabeth a very modern and pretty area with pristine waters and beautiful beaches. It is very much a resort town and the area derives its income from the tourist trade. In ancient times this city was the end of the road for all trade caravans coming out of Asia and was hugely important as the goods were then shipped off to the countries of Europe. The goods were oils, spices, cloth, silk and all manner of trade items not available in Europe. The city also built a huge walled town known as the caravan hotel to keep the traders safe and comfortable at the end of their journey and this is where a lot of the business process was undertaken for selling of goods to merchants for on selling in Europe.
