On our way from Pisa to Cinque Terre. Stopped at Le Spezia and stored luggage and got a 2-day pass to explore the 5 little towns.
Spent the whole afternoon at Riomaggiore and Manarola. Very quaint, old towns on steep cliffs.
Had my first swim in the Mediterranean! Water beautiful, clear and warm.
Got back on train and went further up the Coast to a little town just above Cinqua Terre "Deiva Marinia". Our host 'Luca' from the Bed and Breakfast met us at the station and took us up to Sositio Levante. This BnB is up on the hill - tranquill set amongst grapevines. Luca makes his own red organic wines.
They cooked us a fantastic seafood pasta, sea bass for mains and apple cake for desert.
Wow - big day but nice to now be away from the big cities. So serene and quiet. The boys have their own room next door to ours. They're loving it!
Can't wait to see the other towns in Cinque Terre.
