So I have now arrived in Durban!!!
Picked up at the airpost by just about the WHOLE family-such a nice thing to arrive to!! But WOW everyone has grown up!
My gran and new granddad and my aunt were there and then my two second cousins. Brett is now 16 and like 6ft tall! I swear he was still like 12! And his sister-Robyn, who I thought was still like 4 is actually 7 and pretty tall too!! She gave me the biggest hug ever and it just put a smile on my face.
I was staying at my Grans house and they were so lovely and happy to see me.
We didn't really do much but just chilled and spent time with each other which was nice.
Lots of swimming and trips to the beach and pool as it was often over 30 degrees (34 at one stage, when it was -6 at home in England!!).
I also went to stay at my cousins house and that was so much fun! So nice to spend some proper time with them after all this time.
But soon it was time for me to leave and everyone was very sad (including myself!). My gran, granddad and aunt all drove me up to Richarsds Bay where I was meeting the African Impact team member and fellow volunteers who would then be driving us up to St Lucia.
Sam met me there and she was this drop dead gorgeous american blonde who was of course a lovely person as well!
The other two girls' flight was delayed by two hours so we headed over to the shops, had a really good lunch and did a bit of shopping before picking up the two dutch girls.
They seemed really lovely and we all got on pretty well. Me and Esther are both on the photography project and room-mates and then Alicia is doing the community project.
The other 3 women arrived and they were all suprisingly older but really nice too! All photographers-there are 5 of us, and 2 community girls.
SUCH a cool house too-it's all rocky and just like the Flinstones house!! Pretty awesome really!! St Lucia is a really cool town and we have already seen a pod of hippos and a crocodile in the estuary!
We have also been told we must be careful walking at night..not because of the crime but the hippos that wander through the town!! :D
I am extremely excited about the next leg of my trip!!
I am the youngest, fattest and most inexperienced...
But hey-it can only get better from here right?

Glen Hey Honey, sounds like you had a great time in Cape Town! Very emotional going past the old house I am sure. Enjoy St Lucia, watch out for the Hippos! We look forward to seeing some pictures. What an adventurer you are. I think when you get home you will need a holiday to recover! Love ye, take care!
