We arrived in the village of Pedro Bernardo on Friday evening, 29/6/12. The drive was long and although the terrain was desolate for alot of the journey, it was not uninteresting.
We settled into the Hotel El Cerro which is lovely and our room and balcony looks down the valley.
With the competition due to start tomorrow, Sunday 1/7/12, Ash went up to launch with a few guys to survey the scene. Unfortunately it was too windy so we did some sight seeing in Mombeltran instead.(see photos)

Possibly going to be too windy but all heading to launch to see if the last day of the competition can actually be flown.
Task set - similar to those of the last few days but it got too windy so the day was canned. We decided to leave Pedro Bernardo and head off on our next adventure.
Since the weather has enabled competition tasks to be flown daily, our routine consists of up at 0700 shower and breakfast. Off to competition briefing then up the hill to launch at about 1000. Sit around preparing gear, have task briefing, a snack, shoot the breeze before the race starts around 1230 to 1300. I usually then head off for a relaxing time next to the beaut swimming pool to pass the heat of the day. Ash usually gets back from the race at about 1800. Shower, dinner and bed by 2300. Then get up and do it all again the next day. Sounds almost like a work week routine. Saturday is looking like the weather will not be suitable to fly so we may well set of early to return to "The PottyPlace" but take a leisurely 2 to 3 day trip back.
We have booked a night in Collioure which is on the coast of France near Perpignon. It will be nice to be near the ocean again!
