This photo from yesterday's visit to the Mervlana monastery in Konya. We are now on the South coast (see Facebook photo) with temperatures around 38C. Today's only excursion was to a Roman theatre near here, that been fully restored, as in in constant use. This place is rather like Surfers on steroids. Population 2 million rising to 6 million at this time of year. Holiday makers especially from Russia and Germany. We spend a full day here tomorrow with a morning cruise and. Afternoon at leisure, probably our last such day before Athens, still another full week in Turkey.

Tommy Have you been to the beach yet?
Zara How is the hotel? How do you cope with the sun? I've made a 3D daffodil and a flat one for daffodil day at school. We got dressed up as daffodils. I wore a green T-s***, a yellow skirt, white stockings and a daffodil.
kath I find it fascinating that there a so many people is place in the world I have never heard of. We laugh at people who have never heard of NZ, but I am just as ignorant! It looks beautiful, we googled some pictures. Hope you can move in that heat!
Tommy Do they celebrate Daffodil day where you are?
Pappa There are no daffodils here Tommy, they must be in flower by now at 6 Darwin Street? What are the lawns looking like Frank? hope you got a photo, Zara, that you can put on Facebook. We have a lovely hotel with views over the sea. Sometimes we find it hard to find food we like because their food is quite different from ours.
