So yesterday (Sunday) was a day of rest, route planning, nice eating (cooked breakfast and steak dinner in the van), laundry and reading Jack Reacher books.
Today I moseyed on down to NTB to have my Aircon rechecked and two new tyres fitted.
Midday (the promised time) turned into 2pm before the tyres arrived. Then I was finally out of there at 3pm. Nothing more to pay due to a refund on the not working aircon bill. They reckon it's a faulty valve. We'll see when I can find an AC specialist.
Left Houston in appalling conditions -rain lashing down and lorries causing blinding spray. So much of first 100 miles was spend slower than 60 mph. Then weather improved and I made it to the Flying J truck stop by 7pm. Quick refuel and coffee then bed.
Up early for remaining 100 miles to Mexican border at Laredo.
Manyana!
