Brenda Letain What fun hobnobbing with the talent! That would have been interesting getting to know Christine. I admire that you include others often as not everyone would. The monkeys are also so darned cute. Such characters!
re: A short visit to LangkawiBrenda Letain YUM! Way to go, Martin.
re: Not meBrenda Letain LOVELY!
re: The orchidBrenda Letain Great photo! How amazing you are having a Singapore Sling in Singapore. Martin, you don't drink often but when you do there is a good story behind it!
re: Quenching our thirst at RafflesKristine Was this an Oceania overland trip or did you plan it independently? I have found Oceania’s to be excellent.
re: Angkor WatDennis Baker As Allan said this brings lots of memories.
re: Angkor WatShirley Grosser Those steep stairs! Yikes! Some amazing experiences amid historic locations in these shots. So much of interest to process. I understand why this adventure is “the trip of a lifetime”!
re: Look how steep the stairs were to the third templeDavid Mika Brings back memories! So right, coming down was harder! Great views so really worth the effort!
re: Beginning the climbAllan Reid Wow. I don't recall there being rails when we visited. Dennis and I elected not to climb because we didn't feel safe. I certainly would have climbed with rails to hang on to.
re: Beginning the climbAllan Reid Familiar territory. Dennis and I spent a few days in Siem Reap, during which we visited Angkor Watt and a few other temples. Everything you have described brought back memories. We certainly spent time on Pub Street and within the markets. At Angkor Watt, there were monkeys everywhere, and we were cautioned not to approach them, or engage with them in any way, not even eye contact because they are mischievous and aggressive. Did you experience the monkeys?
re: Angkor WatHelen Worley Thanks for taking the time to relive your experience and share it. We must not forget. I was there a few years ago.
re: One day in Phnom PenhMartin W Hi Brenda I needed to provide more information than I would generally provide in my blog. Thanks for your comments
re: One day in Phnom PenhMartin W Hi Dennis Yes it was very surreal, I too will not forget it.
re: One day in Phnom PenhChris & Paula I’ll never forget the quirky warning sound the escalators and people movers make in this airport….
re: Inside Bangkok's International AirportBrenda Letain This was very interesting. Thank you for taking the time to write all the details. It's important to know what others have gone through. It's a lot to process having been there I'm sure.
