First night we stayed in Stein am Rhein which is a beautiful little town on the German border we walked round the lake and up to the castle then headed off into the mountains!
We now had 3 nights in a Euro camp in Lauterbrunnen, which is in a valley near the biggest mountains in Switzerland and Europe!! ! 1st day we got the cable car to Murren then walked up through snow and rocks to the Schilthorn hut. Liam and Dad then climbed a small mountain but I had blisters so I slid down the hill on the snow to watch their ascent and descent. We saw some Chamois and little beaver like animals called Marmots. Next day we took train to Klein Schteig. This is base camp for the Jungfrau and Eiger, which are 2 of the highest in Europe. We walked down to Grindlewald. Some of the walking was in snow and sleet, very cold!!! Then we packed up and moved onto Tasch which is near Zermatt! Had one full day there so took funicular railway to Sunnegga paradise and set off we lost each other but it didn’t matter. Great views of the Mattahorn which is a very famous mountain. Horse and carriages in Zermatt. Then drove back to France past Mount Blanc, which is the highest in Europe. It was impressive!!
