Juneau Super Saver: Gold Panning and Salmon Bake

From: £56.92

Duration: Varies

Category: Culture & History

Spend a day panning for gold, and then spend your night enjoying a fresh salmon bake! This Alaskan experience starts with a brief city tour of Juneau before you venture with your guide to Gold Creek and Last Chance Basin. Hear about the historic Alaskan gold rush and receive a lesson on gold panning – you’ll keep everything you find! When you’ve built up an appetite, head to a traditional all-you-can-eat salmon bake! End your night by roasting marshmallows on the fire or checking out the Salmon Creek waterfall. Buses run throughout the night, so you can return to Juneau when you’d like.

By day you’re a gold miner, ravaging Gold Creek and Last Chance Basin for pieces of gold; by night you’re a true Alaskan, eating fresh seafood at a traditional salmon bake. This is the gold panning and salmon bake combination tour from Juneau!

Your day starts in Juneau, where your guide will take you on a brief tour of Alaska’s capital city. From there, head up to Gold Creek and Last Chance Basin, where you will learn all there is to know about gold panning, the simplest form of gold mining. Get the hang of it with help from your guide, and then try it on your own! Everything you find is yours to keep. You also receive an Orelove Brothers Gold Claim Certificate, signifying the gold you’ve discovered.

After you’ve built up your appetite, make your way with your guide to a traditional Alaskan salmon bake located nearby! Your lunch or dinner (depending on your chosen tour time) includes grilled salmon, Cheechako chicken, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild-rice pilaf, White Pass pasta and more! Eat as much as you like, and then roast marshmallows on the fire, take a walk to the historic Wagner Mine or take the shuttle back to Juneau. There are several departure times in the evening, so you may choose the one to fit your schedule.

Special Offer - Combine the traditional Alaskan salmon bake with the gold panning experience for an unbeatable price! Save at least 15% compared to booking these two tours separately - BOOK NOW!     - Book Now!
