Went caving today. Visited Poole Cavern which was naturally formed and then drove t Matlock Bath and explored an old lead mine. LOTS of steps.

Had a fantastic feed last night in the bar of the Buckingham Hotel where we're spending two nights. The place has received some dodgy reviews but it's been great so far.

Tomorrow we're off to Great Wishford near Salisbury. From there we'll explore Avebury and do a day trip to Cornwall.

Oh and we've missed (by a couple of days) a comedy play written by John Godber called Teechers. Turns out the guy is pretty famous. Wonder if he's related?

We've decided we're both the champion of the 16 day holiday. 1 day each to get there and get home, two weeks to explore. In short, we're both homesick and are now counting down the days until we get back on the plane to come home. There's only so many castles, stone fences and green paddocks ..... not to say that it isn't great but ... be it ever so humble there's no place like home.
