So far we've had a bear on the deck, deer in the garden and Dave in the house! Dave had a minor bump to the log lining the driveway and his car is now in the garage getting $4000 worth of work done - $1400 from bump and the rest needed maintenance - which he says is not bad for 14 years of dependable travel. He debated whether to sell but decided for 4 grand he'd probably get another 14 years out of it - curious about the car, it's a 97 Saturn SW2
Jim and Dave finished the main deck, pics later, that was over 2 weeks of solid work. It's cloudy with intermittent rain today so Jim puttered in the garage and Dave and I bought groceries.
After groceries, they moved my chiminea from it's box to the firepit as there is an open fire ban - it's been in the box for 4 or 5 years and looks brand new for such an old one! Hope to have a fire tonight.
Wendy was on her way here but blew a fan belt in Pincher Creek and may not arrive til Wed or Thurs - bought tons of fresh food, we'll have to eat it ourselves!
I've been using Recipes for a Small Planet in conjunction with my Vita-Mix so we've had some rather interesting meals, like veggie curry, egg rolls, bean stroganov, noodle bake, along with fresh fruit and home made ice cream (chocolate last night, yummy).
Marg, Linda & Terry - just added you
