A local man, whose name escapes me, and his horse kept me company on the walk to that moai (well, close-ish). We spoke in Spanish the whole way and he was really lovely. On the way back, I had local people stopping to ask me if I wanted a lift back into town, which was really nice of them. I declined though, as I was quite enjoying walking in the rain as it turned out.
