Dristi is Moomin and Buzz!

I guess I have to tell the tale of this beautiful love and friendship between our cute kitten Moomin and the family dog Buzz.

Moomin is only 4 months old and very playful, curious, and adventurous. She loves chasing her own tail, even on a tree as she clings on to branches not to fall but one paw is constantly on that tail of hers. She must think that somebody is always following her and cant understand why that is…She is very flirtatious, loves to stick her tail in the air as she rubs her body on objects or your legs just to get your attention, and puts on the most innocent meowing that is very soft and sounds as though it is such an effort she has spend to get herself heard.

As Moomin is so full of energy and playful, other cats Bella and Rafey hadn't been very welcoming to her at all. Often she is being chased around by Bella who wants to mark her territory and who simply loves to stalk Moomin. Anyway with all the drama Moomin has found shelter in Buzz, who often chases Bella away if he detects that she's being mean to Moomin. So they have created this beautiful friendship and a joy to observe as Moomin climbs on Buzz, chases his tail (she has a thing for tails), tries to bite his nose or simply rubs her body all over Buzz. And Buzz being Buzz, so calm, like a wise old man, allows her to just be, often licks her clean and let her curl up to him and sleep.

This morning we had a great show outside the yoga studio with Buzz simply staring out to distance and Moomin slowly approaching him and just being loveable. It sure was difficult for us to focus when we had this show of public affection right outside…

And today is the day Moomin has become a grown up cat I think. She entered the cottage of Takako and Sharon, looking rather suspicious, as though she was on the hunt, sniffing every corner. And then she disappeared behind the fridge which we thought was odd, and reappeared with a little mouse in her mouth!! Oh my god, I was on the sofa screaming, Sharon legged it to the front door and Takako had the delayed reaction as she came out of her room and realised why we were screaming on top of our voices! John and Lucy came running up and took the dead mouse out of Moomin's mouth…

As for Moomin, she trotted along looking so proud and brave as she has finally caught something significantly large…
