Who wants to be shot by a rabbit?
I love Inke's little quotes and this one was yet another classic. Today we decided to take the Pearl (Juan's car) to Kahurangi's for coffee as we got totally lost in the fields yesterday trying to walk there. Anyway we headed for Ariel's cottage afterwards and had a girlie chatting session. We talked about all those very important things, food, men, yoga, men, travelling, men, work, men…
As we talked about what our problems are we realised that our openness and straight forwardness can put many men off. We simply don't know how to play games like some. I remember a friend of mine who said that if her new boyfriend wanted to see her she'd pretend that she was going out with her friends that night but in fact stay at home and watch TV because she wanted him to think that he wasn't so important and she had an exciting lifeJ . In my books that is just wrong! But is it our honesty that gets us in a mess. When we tell someone how much we like them, when we tell someone our worries and insecurities in a relationship are we making a big mistake?
Inke said that her friend called this "being shot by a rabbit?", men are the hunters and we're the rabbits who know what they want in life and pretty blatant about it too. So we shoot the hunters, scare them away?? Is that it?
I disagree, I'm sure that the honesty will pay off one day and we will find men who are just as active/inactive as us, and who are sure about what they want in life too…Hoping that we will want similar things, that's all!
