No fooling swami
We just had some yummy sushi Takako prepared for everyone; she's been making food all day. She had made fish sushi as well as vegetarian ones and as I had just given up fish recently a question popped in my head for Swami. "How much meat is too much meat?" Is it the same for someone eating fish once a month and someone eating it everyday? Swami's answer was "does it matter if you kill one man or 10 men? This question is the trick of your mind wanting a way out." What do you say to that?
Anyway, we had fun day in Nelson today with Inke, Anandi, Ariel and John. I spent 2 hours at a café writing my postcards whilst everyone else did their bits, then we did some shopping for small gifts for Swami and David, had some lunch and then….dat tar a ra ra dat ta ra ra….Indiana Jones! We went to the movies in Nelson. It was so weird, being exposed to so many visual effects, noise, conversations after being at Stillpoint and watching mainly yoga DVDs for study purposes. Anyhow I loved it. It brought back memories from the past. My brother and I loved Indiana Jones movies; we would watch it over and over again…We even pretended to be on one of his adventures jumping through people's gardens, rolling around on dirt, pretending to run away from the baddies. How fun were those days, our imagination always ran wild. Where does it all go as we age?
John and Lucy said that they are having 10 of Fin's friends over next weekend for his birthday treasure hunt. They'll be hiding clues all around their property and it'll be done in the dark (??). So I said to some of the guys here that we ought to dress up in sheets and scare some of the kids…That'll be a birthday to remember! But not sure if john and lucy would appreciate us scaring their guests…Perhaps they'll play tricks on us instead, we are more forgiving!
