John, great John
I admire John so much, have great respect and love for him as a teacher and as a compassionate human being. His heart is pretty pure, joyous and playful!
I spent 2 hours watching him in the practise, and assisting him to practise my adjustments. Through years of experience, appropriate observation he has developed a very sensitive approach to the students. He finds patterns, sees weaknesses, injuries. It was amazing working with him, and as I felt the connection
I decided to have a chat with him afterwards about what's been happening over the past few days with Lawrence. As we sat outside his eyes were sparkling, yet again with love, he could relate to everything I said, he gave me examples from his own past, he was happy about the agreements we had reached.
But it didn't quite finish there; he confirmed all he said through out the day using the practise as an example. He was putting the theory into practise. So every time he talked about the conditions and time being right, or discrimination and making choices, or how when practising full vinyasa we learn to complete cycles rather than jump from one thing to the next he always caught my eye, and I already knew the message. But he always did it with great love and a gentle smile.
It's amazing how much one can learn from the yoga, from what goes on their mat, from the philosophy and from sharing honestly. I felt so much more closer to John today, and know that at the end of 6 weeks he would have put in all those subtle truths and seeds in me.
Oh I love that man…Great teacher in life! And yet still a human being…
