Amazing day at Stillpoint
It's been such a beautiful day that I could always close my eyes and return to it in the future. After my meditation I watched John and Lucy practise with Lawrence, Nikki and Mike. They were so graceful, and the love between John and Lucy was filling the room. When Lucy was adjusting John he actually gave her a peck on the nose and it was so apparent how wonderfully suited they are and care for each other. Both their eyes were sparkling, it was just so beautiful to watch.
Later I went for a walk in the fields to my tree, and a bird, size of a sparrow, was teasing me by circling around me, to see how close it could get to me. It was so amazing. It was yet another misty morning but by 9am the sun was bright and shining.
I managed to do the full primary practise for the first time in NZ this morning as my body is finally strong and opened up for it. I was sweating bucket loads, sliding all over the place. Yet it was a really good practise. John started me on very deep backbends that sometimes emotions flood it at the same time. We had a long chat afterwards about the ego and all the emotional barriers as well, with reference to the famous story in the Upanishads, the 5 senses trying to leave the body to prove their worth and yet the most important is the prana, the breath.
After breakfast I bumped into our lovely Lawrence, he really is something. I feel such childlike qualities in him, so present, so playful and curious. He was putting some very heavy stones in the garden to create a flower bed, and I decided to help him as it was a beautiful day. I had so much fun getting my hands dirty, pulling out weed, clearing soil, watching all the insects come out of the rocks we lifted with the "chief"…and when Lawrence got his hands into Buz's s*** when he was trying to pull out a stone! Buz kept visiting us time to time waggling his tail and wanting attention. Lawrence was very particular about the way we put the rocks next to each other as Lucy wanted to see harmony in them, for them to be in a "relationship" so every time we plonked a rock we had to step back and look at how it stood next to its neighbouring rock.
And we saw the most amazing rainbow around 5pm behind the clouds…Its been an amazing day indeed even though all my muscles are aching. I'm sure to have a very good night sleep…Oh just to top it all up, it's a beautiful clear evening and the stars are shining above us…
Magical…I love it here!
