Mysore Contacts
I have so many cards I have collected from various people that I thought its best to save them on a document before I lose it all. Even amongst the yoga students first thing to do is to get your business card (in this case social card) made. So in the month I have been here my purse slowly filled up with colourful cards.
But here we go:

Eating:

- Tina's (closed on Sundays): Breakfast from her house where she lives, lunch and dinner from another café she has recently opened.
- Santosha's (breakfast only, open until 11.30am everyday): My favourite breakkie place. Thomas and Tamara are the best chefs, everything freshly baked, best cookies, cakes, best porridge…best, best, best! Email: [email protected] Also look out for their website launching soon, just google santosha Mysore and see what shows up!
- Shanti and Chakra house: I haven't been to these two but people say they are great
- Green Leaf: a favourite with Indians and has a Coffee Day upstairs. Closed between 3.30-5.30pm. Some things are restricted e.g. dinner orders are from 7pm but until then they will have idlis, dosas etc. Great fruit juices but always ask for no sugar and no ice. Also the food is good but remember to add "not spicy please" and they will do that, otherwise it is pretty hot.
- 6th Main restaurant: close to Green Leaf, great Indian place, similar to Green leaf in terms of time of serving dinner.
- Corner House- Ice-cream
- Cubs- cakes, coffee
- Standup Café- on the main road to the coconut stand, great quick dosa place, closes around 4-5pm
- GreenHotel- beautiful garden, great in the evenings to sit out and enjoy, but again ask for food not to be too spicy. Sundays there is the organic food market that kicks off at 10am and everything is sold out within 30minutes
- Paradise hotel and Veg park are places I haven't been to
Home cooking (need to call before to book for food): these tend to be less spicy, nutritious
- Nagarathna (in laxmipuram)- 91 821 2333876
- Sundia (in laxmipuram)-I don't have her number (also has rooms to rent in her house but very basic, toilet and shower shared and outside the courtyard)
