Ooooh, Michael is here!

Everyone in the small yoga community in Kovalam is talking about the latest addition to the group, Michael. well as some of us know and recognise from the boasted ego last year, its not Michael but in fact Michael Gannon. Already there were a group of fresh astangis gathered outside the shala, sitting and watching Michael in amazement, admiring him, saying how skinny he looks and how graceful he is in his practice.

These are obvioulsy true and I dont knwo whether he likes the attention he gets while practising but he does seem to work hard in creating a branding, of his name, his body, his face! I still stay away from him and try not to engage in conversations boosting his ego. But also another part of me thinks maybe he is not as bad he was in the last 2 years, perhaps he is more humble and more ordinary...
