The day after we got food poisoning we were supposed to take it easy but I think we both got a bit ahead of ouselves. Before we knew it we were on the beach and then heading into the local town- Mapusa. When we got back we both started to feel really ill again. Didnt have a great night sleep either as I had some rather unpleasant relations with a mosquito named Harry. After he had had his way with me and emma he refused to leave. Me and Emma tried playing mind games with him by switching the lights on and off but he was playing his own game of hide and seek. At that point we were both exhausted and dillusional from all our medication. At one point Emma started whispering because she was convinced the mosquito was listening to us. The next day although we both were still quite ill we decided it was time to leave Anjuna as out little room only reminded us of our sickness. So we took the two buses to Morjim Beach a little paradise with no hotels or hostels in sight just a few beach huts and tree houses. Doesnt sound like a 5* hotel but it is most certainly a 5* beach hut. We have a double bed with clean sheets, a mosquito net, a bathroom with a shower, a flushing toilet and running water! Its very clean and very comfortable. I still get waves of sickness and find it hard to keep food down but im very please that we're here in this chilled environment where we are going to stay while we get better. We both get tired so easily that even after a short walk to the shop we need to lie down so rest on a beach in Goa is just what the doctor ordered me thinks!
We've also sent all our washing to a little man in a little hut with a bar of soap and running water (yes yes this is the local laundrete!) so hopefully all germs from our food poisoning will be killed.
One last thing-- I love cows. At first i thought they were sort of annoying dumb creatures but now ive got used to them i love them! They are so chilled and just wonder around keeping themselves to themselves or sunbathe with us on the beach..
