After our 1st night we moved to more contral Mumbai were there was a bit less poverty and i started to see another side of India. We wanted to book a train to Goa and sorting it out took some time but now we have a train guide magazine and know how the trains work so next time it will be much easier. It was hard to know what to eat in Mumbai and we went for a chinese meal and i enjoyed the first half of it but then persuaded myself that what i was eating was not sweet and sour chicken but actually sweet and sour dog so i stcuk to the rice! The train from Mumbai to Goa took us 14 hours we slept for half the jouney and made friends with two India families in the second half. I watched the sunset from the open door of the train. It was breath taking. I love trains and loved the train journey. Sleeping on a rocking train is the best sort of sleep and being able to watch the world go by from the windows and doors was amazing. The families were so fascinated by our i-pods and the books we had that we let them borrow them for a bit of the journey. I helped teach one of the children English as well. They were so grateful and when they heard that we didnt have any accomodation booked yet they insisted on helping us find some. They drove us to a beautiful portugese villa in Panji (which is in North Goa) and its costing us 300 rs a night which is basically 3.50! They also pointed us in the direction of a few good and cheap restaurants so we've eaten very well ever since. Today we woke up headed to Old Goa and then to the beach. 2morow we're heading to Ajuna because on Wednesday they have a famous flea market there. Sorry about all the spelling mistakes and bad grammar but im so hungry and want to go and get some lunch!
Lots of love to everyone.
