Heading south tomorrow (at "o-dark thirty") on the Harley to RIde the Tail of the Dragon with Larry, and Don. Beemer-buddy, Tim, from New York is going to ride down and meet us at the hotel in Waynesville, North Carolina.
Larry has to be back for work on Tuesday, so he and Don are only staying one night in Knoxville, Tennessee, riding the Dragon on Saturday, then heading back on Sunday and Monday.
I am staying in the North Carolina area for a few days to check it out as far as a future retirement locale. Tim is going to hang with me for a few days, since he is retired also!
Should be fun, although I am a little leary of riding the Dragon. Larry scoffs at me, saying I will be fine, that the road is no worse than the gravel twisties we rode in Alaska. We'll see!
Off I go to pack and try to get a good night's sleep, since we are riding 501 miles (from MY doorstop) to the hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee.
