Checked with my local harley shop yesterday and they sent the tourpak and lower guards off to be painted to match the bike on Tuesday; BUT I am supposed to pick the bike up today!
They've been great so far, I just hope the parts and pieces get back before too late today, since I still have to put nitrogen in the tires, put the plastic protective sheeting on the lights, PACK the entire bike, take it for a test-ride.
I need some time to get used to riding the bike before I load it down with all my gear; looks like I might be out of luck...
I've actually seriously thought about taking my 2004 BMW R1200CLC on this trip if the rental isn't ready today!
Adding some pics of the bike BEFORE the addition of the higher windshield, tourpack, and lower guards. I am also adding my highway pegs from my bike to it.
UPDATE: the painted tins will be back at 330pm today, and the bike should be ready by 5pm. Cutting it a little close for me, and the paint is still tacky, but I GOTTA GO, FOLKS!
