I had a slight motorcycle accident on March 20th while on a Patriot Guard event for a fallen police officer. A fellow rider had a brain **** and cut me off, and down I went while trying to avoid hitting his sorry ass. My Heritage is OK, but I broke one rib clean through, and cracked another in the incident. Plus, my right hand has some contusions on top of it. I had on my Gerbings heated jacket liner, and when I slammed on my brakes and turned the handlebars to avoid the idiot, my left handgrip got jammed into the connection port for the heated jacket. Completely knocked the wind out of me. AND I had to ride myself to the Emergency Room, since the jackass didn't think I was hurt, and the other guy wouldn't take me on the back of his bike.

Oh well, I have to take it easy for the few weeks leading up to the trip, and keep taking deep breaths to keep my lungs open.

Just a tab bit worried about how this will affect me on this trip... Nothing I can do about it though, and I AM going on this trip! Doctor gave me a rib-band to wear while riding. Hopefully, it either helps, or I won't need it at all come departure time!

Side bar - I will NOT be riding with those jackasses again. The idiot has caused more accidents, and should not have his endorsement, in my opinion.

So, now the healing begins... grrrrrrr.
