I just got my Heritage out of the shop! I've added heated HANDLEBAR inserts (not heated grips), which work great! I also added a cruise-mate lever, so I don't have to mess with that stupid wheel thingey which is standard on the bike.
I also bought Gerbing heated jacket liner and glove liners.
AND, added a mud flap to the rear fender, more for the benefit of my riding buddies - to keep the gravel spits from hitting their bike(s) when they are riding behind me.
This trip is already costing me a small fortune! I might have to start selling my body... LOL!
Retirement is looming - only 20 work days to go! Excited and nervous at the same time. It'll be a whole new life! I am just glad I don't have any kids at home, or a hubby to deal with - makes the situation a lot easier!
Surprise 50th Birthday party was a BLAST! Thanks to all my friends who showed up with booze, gifts, and $$ for the Alaska trip!
Saga continues....

ronvansickle We will be following you to Alaska June 20th. We are leaving North Carolina across the southern US on back roads, up the California coast and on to Fairbanks. We are taking a couple of months and hitting Sturgis and North western states
Sandi Valois Where are you from in NC? I was just looking at some land plots on line near Lake Lure....
ronvansickle I'm retired on the coast, just above Wilmington
