Diane and I headed out to Lake Havasu City for the 5th annual hot air balloon festival. To celebrate the court victory a bunch of us got together at the hanger, the Pilot's Lounge, at the Air Park in Fort Mohave, where Marilyn and Louie the Murderer lived. A toast was made to Marilyn, and we all went outside and sat around a nice bon fire. It was a tad chilly at 52 degrees, but very nice evening. Earlier in the day we had just bounced around shopping and I bought a new shop vac.

Closing arguments today. As per most rules of criminal court procedure, the prosecution conducts it's closing arguments, then the defense says their peace, then the prosecution gets the last word. Judge Williams warned the Defendant to limit his closing argument to around an hour, and to not introduce any new evidence in his closing, which of course he did. I don't think I have ever witnessed an objection to a closing argument, but there were several offered up...

The defendant took the stand in his own defense today. I have to admit, he was actually doing a decent job raising "reasonable doubt"...until he took the stand and started talking. He contradicted himself during his own testimony, and was getting combative with the Prosecutor. I was hoping Judge Williams would just let him ramble and hang himself with his own words.
