Hey everyone!!!!!
So sorry for my absolute crappness at keeping this thing up to date but I will try and fill you in roughly with what I have been up to for the last month!
Took a much needed time out for all the craziness of the fullmoon party and headed over to Koh tao for my diving, yes would you believe it I qualified , it was so much fun swam with Bull sharks and turtles and lots of lovely little fishes.
Ended up staying in Koh Tao longer then was expected and two weeks later decided to get my beach bum in to gear and do some proper travelling so left the lovely islands to head back to the bright lights of Bangkok.
From Bangkok we ventured north to Laos which is the wierdest place ever (the most bombed place in the world) went tubing here which is probably the most dangerous activety ever-esspecially when your s*** faced!!! basically the river was so fast coz its wet season people were just being swept away!!! found out yesterday that a british lad drowned there a couple days ago-scary!!! but it was good fun though and the danger ellement just added to the excitement.
From laos we headed over to Vietnam had so much fun there were hardly any westeners here and people look at you like you have 2 heads- we went to a remote island where they had only probably seen white people in films and they were so funny-we went for dinner and they all just kept coming over to toast us with shots of rice whiskey (which tastes like dirt) but you cant decline it, so 20 shots later and no food consumed we stumbled to bed!
Went to Hanoi which is a really busy city that has all the prisons where the american soldiers were kept during the war and all the museums. Found a dark allyway that looked like it had a little market going on-it smelt disgusting but curiosity got the better of me and I ventured down! this place was mostly a meat market and when I say meat I mean dog! I couldnt believe my eyes when I just saw a massive pot filled with dogs heads and whole roasted dogs on the fire-it was awful but obviously this is the norm in vietnam-the funniest bit was when one old lady grabbed what I thought was a particually cute tortoise and sliced it oped like the top of a soft boiled egg!!! errrrrr needledd to say we are very carefull with the meat we eat out here as sometimes we aren't quite sure what we're eating!
Spent a lovely few days in central Vietnam right beside a gorgeous beach and decided to go a little bit plush and book in to a 4 star resort with a pool and room service and a bath!!!!! I was so excited!!!! started working back on the tan again as this place was the hottest place in the world-I litterally roasted myself!!!
Working our way down to HoChi Minh city now were I have my flight from there to Bangkok (again) and then I head over to Sri Lanka for the lovely Jen and Martins wedding-so excited!!!! can't believe I have been away now for nearly 3 months how time flies!!!! It really has flown by but I have started to get the odd pangs of homesickness and wanting to just chill out and catch up on all my soaps and with friends. Not to sure what the plans are next-I know I want to continue my travels and that may mean heading over to Indonesia and then on to Oz but I know I will be home for crimbo - or when the money runs out!!!!
Love to you all keep in touch and send me a little update as to what youve all been up to!!!!!
Miss you
