I woke up this morning at a pretty regular time of 8.30 feeling not great at all...
But, the show must go on as they say and there was lots to do, so I got up, had breakfast, and headed out...
Before we could do anything though, a trip to the bank was needed - so with cash in hand we grabbed a couple of metro cards and headed underground and Downtown.
Once we arrived at the South Ferry station we headed towards the Battery Park area where you get the boat out to see the Lady herself... The Statue of Liberty.
The boat we were on was mega rammed so the journey out was a bit cramped but when you arrive at Liberty Island there is loads of space so it was all good.
I took a fair few photos before we headed back to the boat and onwards to Ellis Island.
Ellis Island is where all the immigrants arrived into the States - it has some kind of big significance but to me it was pretty boring - so we left pretty quickly.
Once we arrived back in Manhatten we grabbed the Subway uptown to where we thought Grays Papaya was (it later turned out I'd written the wrong address down).
Anyway this mistake meant that we had a good walk down Lexington Avenue which seems nice before we headed back downtown to Grand Central Station where we had lunch.
After photo time was over we headed back out and tried to find the Chrystler Building without looking at a map - which we did! we then headed to the Public Library and back down 5th Avenue towards the Flat Iron building stopping off on the way to buy souvenirs... heading back uptown on Broadway we grabbed a train to Times Square took some pictures and headed to the M&M's shop I saw yesterday - we spent ages looking around it!!!
After all that we came back to the hostel and had some dinner - I'm now in bed because I feel so bad
