Well, I meant to write about my conundrum (decisions decisions) of who to trust with the actual arrangements for my RTW flights.
But, as I'm not quite into the blogging mentality just yet (*must try harder) I've been and gone and booked it!
In fact, it's so "been and gone and booked it" that the booking confirmations/eticket details have arrived in the good ole fashioned post already!
As a friend said when they saw my pic (well, of course I was going to take a pic of the travel wallet etc...) "s*** just got real people".
Very apt, I'd say!
I'll type up my flight itinerary and let you see what/where/when/how for my next post.
I've researched, pondered, worried, checked, double-checked, consulted those in the know, quizzed anybody I know who's ever been anywhere and quite likely driven everyone and anyone a little bit mad with my questions.
I put my feelers out to the big-hitters in the RTW flight business and felt the biggest buzz and the best attention came from The Flight Centre's specialists - Round The World Experts.
So, to Kat Reynolds, I thank you for busting a gut for compiling a rather complex itinerary at a fantastic price and being patient, amenable, available, approachable and so very knowledgable. I believe I will be forever in awe of her! AND indebted to her for being the first real step in making my modern-day-gal-Columbus travelling dream become a reality. She's going to be my go-to-girl from here on in...and oh my how I'm going to need one. Because I'm thinking I may just get the travel bug and do this flit more than just this once! And to that, I'm going to raise a little glass of vino right about now to celebrate they very thought!
