We got into Broome just a little after lunch and after we set up the caravan we went to try the pool. It was a little bit cold so we went for a quick swim around. It's a shame it wasn't warmer because the kids have had so much fun in the warmer pools we've been in. When it started getting closer to dinner time we walked down to cable beach and played in the sand for a little while and watched the camels as they were walking home for the night. And of course enjoyed the cable beach sunset. Then we had dinner at the Sunset Bar and Grill. It was a perfect set up with a huge lawn in front of the restaurant and lots of other kids running around playing. Max and Elise had so much fun and there were some older kids who played with them. They loved it. And we could actually sit and relax a bit more than usual and not just chase after them.
The next day we walked around the town centre and had lunch there. There was a photo gallery I wanted to have a look at but it was closed. We did find another fun little gallery with lots of cool paintings of Broome. Kind of like a comic feel to the paintings with lots of bright colors. Didn't buy any paintings though. After lunch when the kids were sleeping we went for a sightseeing drive around Broome. And in the evening we went to cable beach again and ate at the same place. We even ate the same food, it was really good mushroom pizza. We did consider another restaurant but it didn't have the same set up where the kids could run around. We thought that it was worth going to the same place twice so that they could have fun. The same older kids from the night before were there again aswell. So the kids had some more time to play. Max was a little more tired though so he didn't quite enjoy being chased as much as the night before.
The kids and Patrik spent the next morning at the caravan park while I went and did the food shopping. In the afternoon we went down to cable beach to go for a swim and catch up with my friend Ryan. We sat on the beach having cheese and crackers which Ryan had brought, yum. The kids were running around having a great time, digging in the sand and chasing the seagulls. It was lovely to catch up with Ryan after so many years.
When it was time for dinner, Ryan went of to yoga and we walked up to the Sunset Bar and Grill. AGAIN! Why change a good thing. We even had the same pizza, AGAIN! Again, why change something good. It was a very nice end to our time in Broome.
