OZ Caravan Adventure
Arrived early afternoon in Ballarat an old gold mining town, in 1851 John Dunlop and James Regan panned a few ounces of gold at Canadian Creek in Ballarat and one month later 1000 prospectors had made their way to the former sheep run; within two years there were around 20,000 miners.
We spent the afternoon at the large lake just outside the town center and let the kids play in the playground and throw rocks in the water. Then we made our way into town and had a walk around and went for dinner.
There were lots of nice old buildings, hard to imagine them being there so long ago.
