Staying our last night out of two here in Port Augusta. We're in a really sad caravan park with a fence all around it with barbed wire on the top and a gate that is locked at 9:30pm. They have apparently had people breaking into caravans here so glad to be out of here tomorrow. However, have not felt unsafe.
From Coffin Bay we went to Port Lincoln. We had planned to go to Tumby Bay but by the time we had wondered around Port Lincoln it was quite late so we decided to stay. It was probably good because when we got to Tumby Bay the next day it didn't look that exciting.
Someone at the Ceduna caravan park had recommended the bakery at Tumby Bay so we had to go there. We had a really nice pepper pie, it was very peppery!!! My hot chai latte just didn't help the pepperyness so I had to steel Patrik's smoothie. They also made really nice danishes.
After our little visit at Tumby Bay we headed for Port Augusta. We dicided to stay a couple of nights to have a look around but also because we really need to do some laundry. We spent the day today at Wadlata's Outback Centre. It was a museum about the history of Port Augusta from the time of the dinosaurs to the time of the miners. It would have been really interesting if Max hadn't have asked every 5 seconds if we were leaving soon. He thought it was a bit scary in there because it was a little bit dark. I guess he has also not been feeling well the last couple of days, having a fever and was complaining of a tummy ache. So maybe he is forgiven. We were all happy to get out of there anyway. The rest of the day we spent wondering around the city centre on a historical do it yourself walk. The kids slept for most of it so we could actually enjoy it. Although towards the end we saw that it was 35 degrees, no wonder it felt a little hot! Yesterday was actually the first sunny day we have had this trip so far and today was the hottest. That is 8 days without sun and being cold.

Maggan/Mamma/Mormor Warning-Warning! If you stay in those areas another two weeks we can knock on your door in Adelaide 1-2 Feb or you can see us off in Mannum in the afternoon on the 2nd. I hope Max is feeling better and I'm glad that you did get some sun at last – missing you all. M
