We could have stayed longer at Three Mile dam but we were afraid that we would run out of water. We are also on a little bit of a schedule unfortunately so have to keep moving. Really wish we had more time to do this trip!!
There were some more steep descents going down the mountain but nothing as bad as that first one going down to Tom Groggin. So it was no problems. We went to Cootamundra to stay for one night and so some food shopping and fill up the water tanks. Cootamundra is not really an inspiring place so we were quite happy to move on from there the next day.
Our next stop was Bathurst, the racing town. As Kristi asked us: "Why did you go to Bathurst?" The city is quite nice and they actually have a really great motor racing museum there. We went there to have look thinking that Max might enjoy it. He was jumping and skipping around, loving all the race cars and motorbikes, huge smile on his face the whole time. It was great to see! We also drove a lap around the race course, which was quite cool. They are just regular streets on non-race days, so no speeding! But it was fun anyway and there were great views of Bathurst around the course.
One of the best parts of Bathurst was actually the caravan park. It had a great pool with a mini waterslide. Lots of fun for smalls and bigs.
