We just casually got up when our body said it was time. Our last cup of free tea was had in bed and we showered and packed up and headed for the bus station.
We arrived at the station and there was a bus leaving for Singapore in 15 minuets. Tickets purchased, Siobh boarded, and just enough time for me to grab some breakfast for us. Food and drink being banned from the bus I buried the sausage and egg mc muffin meals into my bag and boarded the bus.
The meals were consumed on the sly en route to Singapore. 4 hours and a quick immigration stop later and we were across the bridge and into Singapore!
The bus very conveniently dropped us in kampong glam on the same street as our hostel. We checked into our most expensive room to date, a 16 bed dorm at $40 a night, and settled into our new surroundings. Computer room, kitchen, and rooftop chill out areas occupied ...well... the rooftop.
The chill out area had a huge TV, Playstation (along with Fifa 14), guitars, books, and games. This would prove to provide a welcome free escape from the city over the next few days.
We wondered the streets amongst the skyscrapers and city parks checking out the local shopping on offer. We wondered out of the kampong glam area and into little India where we found dinner. Mertaback was recommended by our waiter so Mertaback it was: A Indian curry pancake dish, AMAZING! It made "the list", a page in Siobhs note book that lists the name of any food that is worthy of noting.
We made our way back home and chilled on the rooftop and later retreated to the dorm for a earlyish nights sleep before our day of excitement tomorrow, Universal studios!
