Greetings from Thailand..the land of smiles! Have had a really relaxing few days on the Perhentian islands, just basically sleeping, eating, sunbathing and...eating some more!!! Well earnt after our tough stint in the jungle. Left Kecil this morning to cross the border into Thailand. Pretty scary as there is a lot of political unrest here at the mo (found out as we were on our way here that there was recently a bombing here and that travellers were advised to cross the border on the west coast!!). But it was actually suprisingly easy and am now here safe and sound in Hat Yai. Am about to head out to a Thai night market to sample some of the local delicacies with my two lovely travel companions David and Stephen, who are doing a very good job of looking after me. Will head to Puket tomorrow morning.... Hope all is well xx
