Visited the Cu Chi Tunnels today - quite an experience! I really love this place - it has such a nice feel to it! The people are very friendly, even if they are not selling anything they still say hi and want to know where you are from. Their english is very good too which is making everything so much easier here than in say Thailand or Cambodia. The whole place is buzzing all the time with life and colour but it doesn't drain you in the exhausting way Bangkok did! Getting lost in the labyrinth of back alleys teeming ...

TIP FOR ANY FUTURE TRAVELLERS TO CAMBODIA....DO NOT GET SICK HERE!!!!! Last night felt like the longest night ever as I had a nasty bout of dysentry and was taken to a 'hospital' (I use the term loosley as it was basically a shop with beds?!) on the back of a moped! Instead of counting sheep to make myself sleep I just turned my attention to the geckos on the walls and the cockraoches on the floor!!! Uuuurrgghhh. Will never forget it for the rest of my days....

This place never caeses to amaze me. In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pots security forces and turned into a prison known as security prison 21 (S-21).
